He Came

He came to our house.
What fun we had!

Here are a few of my favorite memories from the last few days:

December 23rd
Making up new words to the 12 days of Christmas song with the Dennis fam and laughing about how clever we all are.  Cord is still chuckling about his famous, "Two pounds of Oscar."  (Ryan and Eva's pig that was slaughtered and cooked for the feast.)

Listening to the guys joke that our turkey tasted like Bacon because it was smoked alongside the ham.  They thought that was about as cool at it gets!

Overhearing the kids discuss whether or not the Grinch is real and if he could possibly steal their Christmas. . .

December 24th
Watching Natalie bursting with excitement when she picked out a present for Libby.  She could only contain herself for mere minutes before bluring out, "LIBBY it's a bell for your BIKE!"  with a huge smile on her face.

Listening to Cord's dad enjoy his Christmas Eve dinner.  He mmmm'ed and aaaaah'ed and ooohhhh'ed over every bite.

Seeing Libby wait patiently with her hand in the air to get a present on Christmas Eve from Santa's helper.  (Her's was the last gift to be given and she was so cute to quietly wait her turn.)

Wrapping presents with Cord, staying up late, and talking about how blessed we truly are.

Rocking Gage to sleep in the middle of the night.  Snuggling him in his new Christmas Pajamas and thinking about the magical morning that awaited.

December 25th
Making Cord wait until at least 8:00 am before he dragged the kids out of bed on Christmas morning.

Seeing Libby's face light up when she finally got her Ladybug Pillow Pet.  She jumped in the air with pure joy.

Feeling very loved after opening gifts from Cord and finding out he searched through every woman's clothes store possible to choose outfits that he thought I would like.

Tearing up a bit when Mom and Dad gave everyone a Vita Mix blender and seeing everyone else get emotional with gratitude for the gift.

Playing Pictonary with the Belnap's and laughing about the drawing skills that most of us lacked!

What a beautiful and fun Holiday we had!!!

SOunds like Christmas was AWESOME for your sweet little family! And I had to laugh about the pillow pet. Gracie ONLY wanted a Unicorn PillowPet for Christmas. It was truly an awesome moment to watch her face as she unwrapped it (and then to see Sienna mimic her big sister's excitement because that's what you're supposed to do..he he he). Thanks for sharing moments of your Christmas! :o)
