Fall Festivities

Ghosts and Goblins and Witches are out,
scaring the children and making them shout!
The pumpkins are orange and ready to pick.
The gooey caramel apples make our belly's sick.
Glowing carved faces line up by the door,
and plenty of fun fall activities are in store!
Happy, Happy Halloween!

The Pumpkin Patch!
We love visiting Lyle Dabb's pumpkin patch every year.
The prices can't be beat and he is so fun with the kids--
wearing a pumpkin head, doing magic tricks,
and shooting invisible ghosts through the air with the ghost gun.

I made Gage a monster trick or treat bag for Halloween night!  The girl's have had theirs for awhile now, so their monsters have dirty feet.  But, I guess that is what monsters do--get dirty!  :)
Can't wait for trick-or-treating with the cousins!

We had Fall Break last week and the kids and I just played and played!
We went to the duck pond and played in Grandma's backyard.
We spent Friday at the zoo with the Dennis fam.  It was busy, but the weather was so perfect we didn't mind spending the whole day wandering around looking at the animals and enjoying Fall!

Last night we headed out to Perry to visit the Evan's family corn maze.  The weather was a bit shady, but we decided to give it a try.  About 15 minutes into our walk, a dark cloud moved in and dropped a crazy amount of rain on us.  It was pouring!  Luckily, the kids found the way to the exit with ease, and we escaped the maze without floating away.  It wasn't exactly the evening we had in mind, but I thought the rain made it an adventure.  You never know what kind of weather you are going to get in October!  The kids all picked out a treat from the Coke Wagon, and then we dried off for a bit at Doug and Rayleen's  house before heading home.

There is still more fun Halloween in store too.  Might as well enjoy the fall while it is here.  There was SNOW outside this morning....sooooo it won't be long before we are welcoming Winter.
