Saturday morning, we loaded all our gear onto Brent's trailer (which was a feat in itself!) and started on our way! We quickly got settled in our rooms at the house and then skipped over to the local pool to have a dip. Gage found Kayla's toy turtle and adopted it for his own. I might have to invest in a swim turtle for my little man! Gage also enjoyed the warm spa. I can't blame him. That's my favorite place to soak as well. Our group practically filled the entire pool. It was fun to see everyone splashing, talking, swimming, diving, and floating around. We were hungry little things by the time we dried off and headed back for dinner.
Sunday morning we woke up to a delicious Father's Day Breakfast! Fruit crepes with all the fixings and fun little omelets in a bag. Cord is such a great daddy and I feel so lucky to have him as my partner in crime. I love him so much. The kids love him to pieces too!
(Sometimes I feel like eating Oliver for breakfast due to extreme amounts of cuteness.)
We gathered up the troops and went on a 4 mile bike ride on the path around the lake. I was so impressed with all the littles that they were able to keep up! Cord attached a strap to Gage's bike so he could help pull him along. It was so cute.
We busted out some fancy smoothies as an appetizer while lunch was being fixed.

After lunch, we loaded up the beach gear and found a spot to enjoy the lake. The water was too high to play on the usual spot, so we had to hunt down somewhere new. We ended up on this rocky beach. We spent our afternoon gliding along in the kayaks, building sandcastles, stacking rocks, and watching Cord and Dax brave the cold water. It was quite chilly...
The water is so stinking blue! Oh, and my arms were totally sore from kayaking.
Lorna wanted to capture a picture of all of the family together, so Sunday night we all showered and headed out to the back yard to snap a picture of the group! I was feeling grateful for my new easy "wash and wear" hairstyle! We all look nice and rosy from our day in the sun. I had Dax take a few quick pictures of my little family while we were waiting for the rest of the troops to finish getting pretty. It makes me happy to see my little family all together like that. Am I lucky or what?
We had to do a quick wardrobe change for Oliver because of some serious spit-up action that happened after the first picture. No biggie Ollie. We love you tons--cottage cheesey barf and all!

We had some cute kids here relaxing on the bench. So, Dax continued to take pictures!
Natalie was pretty much striking a pose in every shot. It is pretty awesome.
After the BIG group picture, (which I didn't get with my camera) we had a little Family Home Evening lesson. Cord told a story about monkey traps and had a little trap with a banana inside for the kids to get their hands stuck in. We discussed letting go of the things that are holding us back from progressing in life. It was short and sweet. Speaking of sweet...we had some banana cake to eat at the end of the activity. Mmmm...
Monday morning, we decided to take a ride over to North Beach so we could have some sand to play with. We got stuck in some serious traffic because they are fixing the road. Luckily, we had these awesome cows to look at for 25 minutes. Nothing quite as exciting as watching cows eat grass...
We did eventually make it to our destination and we picked a spot right next to this lovely sand bear.
And we had all sorts of fun throwing the frisbee, laying in the warm water, kayaking, eating, snacking, munching, getting our feet wet, building muddy mud pies, digging holes and pretending they are hot tubs...
I even got to sneak read a book on my phone for a bit. :)
You should have seen the back of Kayla and Natty's legs after spending hours in the sun on their bellies. OUCH! Talk about sun kissed.
We stayed and played until our feet were sunburned and our eyes were getting heavy.
Then we went home to warm showers and dinner.
I didn't ever make it out to the camp fire at night. But there were plenty of talks around the fire.
I was inside with my cute little people.
These girls were lucky enough to have a sleepover with their cousins while on their vacation.
Double the fun!
Tuesday morning Cord took the girls for a little one-on-one time.
They went for a bike ride along the boardwalk and then got a yummy raspberry shake to share.
Last night Natty said one of her favorite parts of the trip was her bike ride with Daddy.
After they got back the whole fam went over to the KOA for some bouncy pillow fun.
I was so tempted to go out and join in. It looked so squishy.
And then we were all super hot...
Lorna rented a bunch of bikes and stuff for everyone to go on a ride. Cord wasn't feeling super awesome, so we went back to the house so he could have a little nap. Oliver was tired too.
Our kids jumped on with their cousins and rode off into the sun without us.
While they were away, I sat in a lounge chair and read while the boys slept.
It was lovely.
Sounds like the ride was super hard. Everyone got a great leg workout, that's for sure...
That afternoon, the winds picked up! Cord and Corey were so excited because they were itching to try out the kite board that Corey rented for the trip. We threw our beach gear in the cars and raced over to the beach. Of course, by the time we got there the winds had died down. Typical.
The kids didn't mind though. They were happy to enjoy another day in the lake.
Just as we were getting ready to wind down, the breeze turned into wind again!
In the blink of an eye, Corey was out on the water ready to go.
It was so fun to watch them fly across the water.
I love to watch Cord in action. It makes me so happy to see him happy.
Wednesday morning we woke up and none of the water in the house worked. EEK!
Luckily, the property management company let us use another home to shower and go potty.
It ended up being a great little bonus because we got to have a late check-out. So we utilized the extra time and let the boys go kiteboarding one last time before we headed home.
It was super windy. Like 20 mph winds.
Corey almost blew away. Luckily the beach stopped him. :)
Cord's kite was going nuts in the wind, so he released his brake line. It snapped!
We are talking crazy winds here people.
They came back to the house "alive" and pumped full of adrenaline.
What a way to end the vacation!
Actually, we ended the vacation in the best way possible... with a table full of yummy Shakes and hot French Fries.

It really was a super fun trip! Lots of fun moments for sure! The house was awesome, and I really loved our day at the beach. But I guess all good things come to an end at some point :) Well, maybe not ALL good things.... haha!
