We usually spend the Fourth up at East Canyon Resort with the Belnap clan. This year, we squeezed in a whole day of fun up there on Sunday and came home super late, so we could do some of the local festivities with the kids.

We woke up on the Fourth just in time to head down to the parade. Monica and Kayla met us with a box of doughnuts and some juice. So, we had some breakfast and watched the parade together.

Luckily, Cherry Days still has a "sweet" parade, so the girls got to collect a bag of candy. They learned to turn on some charm to get treats thrown their way.
After the parade, Monica took all three girls over to play at the McDonald's in the air conditioning, while Gage went home to take a nice long nap. Then it was off to the carnival...
Next, Cord jumped on his bike and took a nice long ride over the mountain to Liberty to meet us at Ryan's house for a BBQ and games. I made a few pies and chatted with the fam, while Cord was making his way over the hill. He said it was a great bike trail and I have a feeling next time we head up to Liberty, he will be doing it again...
While the big kids were cooking and talking, the little kids were planning a fabulous Fashion Show. Libby, Natalie, and Shaye were the models. They had three costume changes, fancy hair do's, and glamorous makeup...all supplied by the older girls.
It was so cute to watch the girls show off their dresses on the runway.
They were moving their hips and flipping their hair like they were born for the catwalk.
We played a few rounds of yard croquet.
Grandma even gave it a shot.
Isn't she the cutest?
You know if there is a ball involved, this little guy will be there!
A nice game of Volley Ball.
My cute mom and dad.
Once it was dark Ryan got out some fireworks for a little display.
The kids were loving it. I love watching their faces!
We watched the Liberty fireworks show from the backyard.
It was pretty to see them light up the sky from a distance.

Is there anything better than spending a summer night snuggling on a blanket
with your sweeties watching fireworks?
I. Think. Not.
