Livin'

I decided that sometimes it is good to post about the small stuff.
Like the breezy mornings we spend at the park flying kites.

And the afternoon I spent hiking up to the raging waterfall.
With just mom, the dogs, and Sheldon.
Enjoying the incredible views and some "me" time.

And summer nights in pajamas.
Waiting until it is "dark" to go to bed.
(seriously?  it doesn't get dark until after 9)
Baking banana bread, reading stories, and doing not much at all.

Most of my life is filled with moments like these.
Small.  Insignificant. Marvelous.

Memories and Things I'd like to Remember:

Gage running down the hall with a pair of the girl's underwear held high above his head.  Laughing.  He knows it makes the girls squeel!  One year old, and already teasing his sisters.

Watching Libby and Nat dance together on the "Living Room Stage."  Natalie knowing every single step to Libby's jazz dance.  Her cute "pixie pose" and "shake and shimmy" are spot on and adorable.

Eating lunch at Great Harvest on Wednesday afternoons.  The worker knows our names and our favorite slice.  Watching the girls chat at their own little table as they snack on bread and water.  Simple food, simple conversation, simple goodness.

Chatting with Cord, after the kids are down for the night, about our internet business plans.  Staying awake late to dream about the future together.  Working on a common goal and celebrating each small milestone together!

ME!  Falling to my doom when the hammock rope snapped.  Looking up and seeing Cord and the girls looking down at me.  Cord asking if I can move my legs and if he needs to call 911.  The girls laughing because they have never seen my cry like that before and then feeling bad when they realize I am actually crying.  The acute pain of an injured backbone, and the joy of healing...

Listening to Libby pray.  Her innocent requests.  Asking for things such as, "Natalie to share her birthday presents" and "baby Gage to feel better in the morning" and that "Grandpa can have fun surfing" and to "bless the Gospel."  She is such a good oldest child.  A true example for her brother and sister.

Finding Natalie in bed asleep, but, surrounded by books.  Realizing that she was up late "sneak reading" just like her mommy and grandma do.

Giving Gage a hug and having him pat my back with his tiny hand.  This is Daddy's favorite part about coming home from work.  A good Gage hug and pat on the back...

So much to remember, so much to be grateful for!  Bring on Summer.  We are doing some livin' here!
