Did you hear it yesterday? Perhaps hum it yourself as you prepared breakfast? Was there a tear in your eye as you watched your little ones up on stage giving it their all? It is a Father's Day Classic. And it's true:
I'm so glad when Daddy Comes Home.
Glad as I can be.
Clap my hands and SHOUT for joy,
and climb upon his knee.
Put my arms around his neck.
Hug him tight like this.
Pat his cheeks and give him what?
A GREAT BIG kiss. *mooah*
Can't let this day go by without giving some love to the man of our house. The guy who earns the big bucks and makes it so me and the kids get to just play 98% of the time. The fella who fixes, and builds, and remodels whatever I ask. The man who can decide to pick up a sport and within minutes be one of the best in the game. The husband who gives me a back massage when I am overwhelmed and picks up the dish rag to work beside me after dinner. The daddy who wrestles, reads stories, and tells the "three little pigs' better than anyone else.
We sure do love this guy. :)
The kids gave him some posters to remind him of the races he has competed in over the past year. We figure he needs to know we are proud of him. And to remember, that he is special. Can't wait to hang them up...and add to them over the years.
